i โค๏ธ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ tie dye

i do. this is just a fact of life. and i don’t hide it. if i do own a white shirt, it doesn’t stay white for long. and it’s always been this way! ๐Ÿ˜‰

a few months ago, i came across a box of old white shirts that used to be my dad’s. i took possession and was waiting for the tie dye moment to strike! and it did!!!

the thing i love about tie dye is that you never really know how it’s going to turn out! there’s a lot of effort put in, loads of steps in the process and it’s a surprise what might come out! (this is why those tie dye reveals on insta are so much fun!!!)

this time was a bit challenging. when i washed the shirts i hadn’t rinsed out all the dye (rookie mistake), so i was left shirts with a tinge of gray, instead of white. #bummerforsure! but i think i’ll try bleaching them and see what happens… ๐Ÿ˜‰

1 thing did turn out kinda cool. i’ve been watching and seeing people tie dye with bleach. i’ve always been kinda intrigued about the process and how it might turn out. so i decided to up-cycle an old back sweatshirt of mine that i love, but also already had a random bleach spot on it, is getting pretty thin in the armpits and a bit pill-y all over.

bleached, dyed and washed! ๐Ÿ˜‰ new life for a new sweatshirt!

want your very own tie dye something? send me a message, maybe i can make something for you!
