i know that a lot of people don’t like sharing their email addresses (i completely get it!). our inboxes are full of emails from people selling things and sending us updates about things we no longer have an interest in.

but algorithms get in the way of a lot on social media. a few months ago the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), filed a lawsuit against facebook claiming that they let employers target men only for certain jobs, a direct violation of our Equal Employment Opportunities laws.

do you really want to depend on facebook and algorithms to receive targeted news and information? the only way that someone has control over their own content, and the sharing of that content, is to have your own mailing list.
